Every design HAS a story.
Every design HAS a story.
My favourite 3-step way to approach a design narrative that helps think beyond the usual for simple yet powerful storytelling.
📌Purpose
You obviously know the project type, design, and function. But why does this design exist in the first place? Who benefits from it, and why does it matter?
📌Process
Recall the journey, especially the snags and the small wins that turned out to be important design decisions which made the project memorable.
📌People
Picture the building/space in use. How does the design make the users interact with it and amongst themselves? How would they feel being there?
For example, does that living room make someone want to plop down on the couch, or would they drag themselves to their room after a long day?
